Woof Week Day 5

Hi everyone, Katie here.

Yeah, yeah, I know what your thinking. What happened to Woof Week Day 4? Well Glogirly was "busy" and claimed to "not have time." Fine.

So we're skipping ahead to Day 5. I'm wrapping up Woof Week with one of the most beloved dogs of our time. The One. The Only. Lassie.

More than a hero? A legend?

Move over Lassie.

There's a new girl in town and her name is Katie.

I've uncovered some dirt on good ole Lassie. Did you know SHE was a HE? Imposter! And HIS name was Pal. PAL? What kind of name is THAT?

I'd also like to point out that there were NINE "one and only" Lassie's during Lassie's career run. Some sources say 6, but as of 2004 the number was reported to have reached 9.

Nine lives. Hmmmm.

I'm thinking Lassie-boy has used them all up.

Well one thing is for certain.

There is only ONE me.

The One. The Only.

Woof Week Day 3

Hi everyone, Katie here.

Still can't believe I'm giving this whole week to the dogs, can you? Well when you take a peek at my notable note for the day, you'll know it's still really me. Nothing has changed. I've not lost my head.

I think these two quotes illustrate vividly the difference between cats and dogs.

You can say any fool thing to a dog,

and the dog will give you this look that says:

"My God, you're RIGHT! I NEVER would've thought of that."

Woof Week Day 2

Hi everyone, Katie here.

I know. You're still scratching your heads over my decision to devote an entire week to the dogs.

Well, not ALL dogs are, um...dogs. Some are WAY more fun. And some are WAY more yummy.

Some dogs you can drive.

Just last week, Glogirly saw the REAL DEAL

driving through downtown Minneapolis.

Unfortunately I wasn't driving.

Some dogs you can wear.

My pal Daisy knows what to do with HER dog.

All that's missing is her bag of chips.

But best of all...

Some dogs you can EAT!!!

Well, I've never actually tried one.

But I once batted one around that escaped Gloman's bun.

Woof Week Day 1

Hi everyone, Katie here.

Are you sitting down? Ok. SIT. Now, STAY. Are you ready? It's Woof Week here at my blog. Shocking but true. I've decided to devote this whole week to the dogs.

I figure it's pretty low risk. We all know that cats are superior. Smarter. Craftier. Better looking. I could go on. Usually do.

But this week I'm throwing it to the dogs.

First up, two of my faves from the golden state. SoCal to be specific.

Benny & Lily

The Antics Of Two French Bulldogs

Benny & Lily are two very stylish French bulldogs that are always making a good time. My girl and I love their blog. B & L are pretty cute. For a couple of dogs. I've read that Frenchies are smart too. But considering some of the hats and outfits Benny and Lily show up in on their blog, I have my doubts.

Nothin' says happy like a bandana babushka.

B & L are big into FB too. That's Facebook for those of you who've been living in a doghouse. They share lots of photos of their Frenchie friends. In fact, they have 973 friends that "like" them. That's THREE times more than I have. Yeah, whatever. I like to keep a low profile.
