Glogirly Greatest Hits - VOL. 4

Hi everyone, Katie here.

Very busy today. Deep in thought. Here's just the right nugget from the archives -

DEEP THOUGHTS

Hi everyone, Katie here.

I've been extremely busy today. Thinking. There's just so much to ponder each and every day. I frankly don't know how I find the time.

Do I have my gingivitis food for breakfast? Or perhaps for lunch?
Shall I save some for a midnight snack? Midnight is an awfully long time to wait.

Which window should I stand guard at so the birds, squirrels and rabbits stay at bay. The front deck window? The back deck window? Or perhaps the downstairs door? What should I do if the rabbit, for example, attempts a forcible entry? The townhouse windows are so clean, the birds have made that mistake more than once.

On which soft bed should I take my daily nap? And how long should I nap for? Do I need an alarm? What kind of alarm? How will I know how to set the alarm? What if it doesn't go off? Can I ever nap not knowing if I know how to correctly set the alarm? Should I do a test and set it for two minutes from now just to make sure it works?
Wait, I'm a cat and I don't know how to tell time.

I am so screwed.

Glogirly Greatest Hits - VOL. 3

Hi everyone, Katie here.

I had a bad feeling when she left this morning. I even ran down two flights of steps to watch her drive away. Truth is, I just wanted her to see ME. Just a little abandonment guilt to throw her way. You see, Glogirly spent the afternoon with one of her dog friends. I can smell these things before they even happen.

This time when she came home though, I didn't smell anything suspicious at all. No dog. No cat. Nothing. Glogirly's friend, we call her hoffy, just lost her little Corgi Girl. Her name was Miss T. Miss T and hoffy were best of friends. In fact they were a threesome just a few years ago before Tex passed away. Miss T and Tex did everything together. They loved each other very much. Too bad they were dogs, but not everyone can be perfect.

Glogirly and I poke fun at each other and aren't afraid to show our sardonic wit. But I'd really miss her if she went to human heaven and I KNOW she'd miss me if I went to cat heaven. (I can't say as much for Gloman.) Once when she was in Maine hiking up to a lighthouse, she tripped over a rock. Just before she shouted something not suitable for a family blog, she realized what it was. A small heart-shaped remembrance of someone's companion and friend. I hope she'll remember me someday as a Darn Good Cat. I also hope she can find a bigger and more impressive rock.

Glogirly Greatest Hits - VOL. 1

Hi everyone, Katie here.

Welcome to Glogirly Greatest Hits. This is Glogirly's new and improved way of slacking. And my way of sharing some of my favorite blogs from back when many of you didn't even know me.

So, without further adieu, I bring you -

P-TOUCH KATIE

Hi everyone, Katie here.

Every cat should have their own label maker. After all we are neat, clean and orderly animals. We like a place for everything and everything in its place. Glogirly brought a P-Touch home today and I've been hogging it ever since she pried open the plastic blister package it came in. She used some pretty questionable language getting it out of that package and rustling through the spanish and french instructions.

I've been working hard to identify all things in the townhouse that are mine so as to alleviate any confusion over whose stuff is whose.

The P-Touch keyboard is very similar to the computer's. My typing experience on my blog has prepared me well for this labeling task. It's a lot of work labeling all things that are mine in this townhouse.

There's my food, my water, my poop box, my room (actually rooms.) There's my frog, my fishing pole, my windows, my chair (actually chairs.) Maybe I should just label the few things that AREN'T mine. Like the shampoo and shower gel.

On second thought, I really just need ONE label for the front door. Katie's Townhouse. That should cover it.
