Easter Cat PEEPS!

ELLIE:  So Mr. Waffles? Did the Easter Bunny bring us these Peepsy things?

WAFFLES:  Yeah, I thought they'd be marshmallow Peeps, but they're just stuffed with a lot of nothing.

ELLIE:  Not even catnip???

WAFFLES:  Not even catnip. Maybe the Easter Bunny messed up and brought us DOG toys.

ELLIE:  Well they're kind of fun, Mr. Waffles.

WAFFLES:  If you like DOG toys.

WAFFLES:  Should I not like dog toys?

WAFFLES:  Well are you a dog???

ELLIE:  Would that be wrong?

Happy Easter!

We hope all of our friends and readers who celebrate Easter had a wonderful holiday weekend! Ellie is still trying to figure out why her stuffed Peeps don't smell like catnip and Waffles is sulking over the lack of marshmallow filling. He's got a CRAZY attraction to Glogirly's marshmallows. Since they're not exactly one of his approved food groups, she has to keep them under lock and key.

We heard these Peeps toys came in both dog and cat versions. Despite the cat packaging, we're thinking something got mixed up in the Peep packaging factory. Hopefully Ellie and Waffles will learn to trust the Easter Bunny again. LOL!

Speaking of the Easter Bunny...

There was an Easter Bunny sighting at the local ski area this past weekend.

We think a certain someone needs to find some CAT ears for her ski helmet.

  1. I got some of those Peeps. Mine do smell of catnip but I haven't looked at them. They might as well be dog toys. Happy Easter anyhow.

  3. Can you get a bag of catnip, and put the peeps in there for a few days? I bet they love them then.

    Happy Easter to you all.

  6. We think the peeps look like fun. We like the idea of marinating them in catnip like PoppyQ suggested.

  8. Bummer that you didn't get any nip in those peeps. Mum prefer her Easter stuff as Chocolate, so I don't get any.

  9. As we understand it a LOT of Glogirly's food groups have to be under lock and key from one Mr. Waffles! HA!! Ellie, we love seeing you grow and are having fun watching you learn new stuff!! Hoping the springtime brings some new visitors to the windows of the mountain house!
And OF COURSE someone needs to get cat ears for her helmet!!!!

  10. Humans put labels on everything, Ellie!
You just be the bestest Ellie ever, and you can play with anything, no matter what label it has.

  12. Those peeps need marinating! I used to keep a tub of catnip for marinating and rotating toys.

  13. I think Eric and Flynn have the right idea. Dad tried a spray but it didn't work and then got us some good nip and keeps it in a baggie. He pops our toys in there to freshen them up. You both do get the cute kitty award this year though. Looking good on the slopes. Happy Easter

  14. Happy Belated Easter Greetings!
Those are cute peeps, but why didn't they put in some good nip to tantalize you more?

    And we love the ski-bunny!!

  15. My kitty Jake got some catnip Peeps, but he wasn't interested in them either. He does however love marshmallows.
