Sniffing the Spring Snow

WAFFLES:  What do you smell, Boss?

KATIE:  You mean besides an orange cat?

WAFFLES:  There's an orange cat outside our window???

KATIE:  Spring, Waffles. I smell spring.

WAFFLES:  But there's still snow outside, Boss. How can it smell like spring?

KATIE:  That's the magic of Colorado, Waffles.

WAFFLES:  It might be spring, but I don't want any of that white stuff touching MY toesies.

First Day of Spring Snow
The first day of spring marked what just might be the biggest single-day snowfall of the year for us in the mountains.  While our friends to the south were likely social distancing with their windows open, we were digging ourselves out of over TWO FEET of fresh (and very heavy!) spring snow.

The next morning the sun greeted us with a spectacular scene. If you've got to stay in place, this is definitely one of the best places to stay.

Be safe, dear friends. Please know that we're with you.

  3. We had a few inches of slushy snow today...but only a few inches!
We could use some of your sunshine, however...

  4. Holy moly! That's a lot of snow! Does spring snow smell different than fall or winter snow?

  5. That's what happens for your first day of spring in Colorado. You sure did get a lot of snow and make sure your toesies don't get all wet now. Thanks for the share. Have a wonderful start to your week.
