Special Delivery

Hi everyone, Katie here.

In case any of you were wondering where I've been lately...what with Waffles stealing this blog like it's my breakfast... well here I am. 

I'm keeping a watchful eye out for the man in brown shorts and the lady in purple shorts. Well, hopefully they're wearing pants now considering the falling snow and the falling temperatures. 

December is an active month here at the Townhouse. Trucks, vans, doorbells. We've got our fair share of door-pounders too. Obviously they do NOT have cats at home. Although Glogirly fell victim to the lure of Cyber Monday shopping, I've checked the browser history on her computer and am pleased to report that I'm definitely coming out on top of the whole affair. 

There's food, catnip, even a new climbing structure in my future. 

We've got some awesome pre-Christmas giveaways planned too! 

All of this is keeping the delivery trucks very busy.

Don't worry Waffles. I saw that Glogirly also ordered a Santa costume. 

Let's just say, I believe in Santa Claus. And I believe in you.  

Suspicious Package Alert

Hi everyone, Katie here.

We get a lot of boxes here at the Townhouse. The UPS & FedEx men are like family. Except of course that they still insist on ringing the doorbell.

Many of you know I'm not a fan of boxes, bags or any other enclosed spaces. Maybe I was a packing peanut in a former life.

I'm particularly concerned with the contents of this box.

It's not food. It's not nip. It's definitely not toys. Yet Glogirly is acting like it's kitty stuff.

There's a blue something or another inside this box and I don't like the looks of it.

Oh. My. Cod. I REALLY don't like the looks of it.

At least it's not pink. That would be a very bad sign.

WAFFLES:  Um, Boss?

CATHY KEISHA:  YO Katie!

WAFFLES:  Um, Boss? The brown truck man came with a package for you.

CATHY KEISHA:  We knows how you feel 'bout the UPS man. You know, with the doorbell and all. So I axed him to leave the box and then told him to scram.

WAFFLES:  Um, Boss? Where do you want it?

KATIE:  Just hang onto it. It's for tomorrow.

WAFFLES:  Um, boss? Can I put it down?

KATIE:  Did I say put it down?

WAFFLES: Um, no?

KATIE:  Fine. Put it down. But don't play with it.

WAFFLES:  Um, Boss? But it's a box. Isn't that the same as a toy? I thought I read it in the Cat Handbook.

KATIE: Waffles, you can't read.

CATHY KEISHA:   Stupid interns. (rolls eyes) Don't ax me what's in the box. Alls I can say is it's a very impawtant box. Come back tomorrow and we just might bust it wide open.

Townhouse Re-Do

Hi everyone, Katie here.

Lots of changes here at the townhouse this weekend. I hear rumors of a re-do project. After the UPS man came and went and came and went and came and went, I knew it had officially begun.

I guess I can kiss my red chair and rich color pallete goodbye. Glogirly says we've been looking at the same colors for nine years now and it's time for a fresh change. NINE years? I haven't even been ALIVE nine years.

Here's her story board.

She was inspired by the rugs.

Which I must say are fabulously cushy.

They arrived on Friday and I've already been twirling around on them in an effort to fur them up and assist in placement. So based on the rug factor, I'm going to remain open and optimistic.

Maybe that nasty red dog will go away too.
