SIOUX the LADYCAT:  Uh, I'm here for the CHIPPENDALES dancers. Not the CHICKENDALES. What is this, breakfast at the Waffle House?

Chip 'n' Dale ADOPTED!!! 

Sorry Miss Sioux, but the Chippendales, a.k.a. Chip 'n' Dale, have been adopted! That means you're stuck with Waffles for today's show.  We hope you brought some chicken drumsticks to slip into his g-string. *wink*  

But don't worry, we're certain you'll find a forever home too ...very, very soon.

That's right, we've got another success story to share! Remember Chip & Dale, the tuxedo brothers we featured a few weeks ago on our Chippendales SNL spoof? These handsome boys have been adopted TOGETHER! They've danced their way into the best happy ending ever.

TV Trip Saturdays with the Shelter Cats!

Every Saturday we feature adoptable cats from PAWS Pet Animal Welfare Society in Norwalk, CT.  in our #TVTripCaturday blog series. Through the magic of Photoshop, they join Waffles and Katie for some time-travel adventures to some of our favorite, classic shows.

We'll also introduce you to the 'Cameo Cats' and share a little bit about them. Maybe, just maybe... our crazy antics will help our shelter friends find forever homes.

Today's Cameo Cat

Sioux came to PAWS two years ago after delivering and nursing her three kittens.

She was the mother of the little indian kittens: Crazy Horse, Sitting Bull, and Geronimo. They were all adopted but their shy mother is still waiting for a home.

She’s calm and sweet but cautious about making new friends. Once she decides you’re OK, she’s very loving. Maybe you're the one that can let her know how special she is. Maybe she's the one for you.


Sioux is available for adoption at PAWS, Pet Animal Welfare Society in Norwalk, Connecticut.

TV Trip: Chippendales Cat Audition

KATIE:  Ok, our next dancer is "Waffles." C'mon in, Waffles. Tell us a little bit about yourself.

WAFFLES:  Uh, my name's Waffles? I'm almost 3 years-old? 

KATIE:  Do you have any hobbies, Waffles?

WAFFLES:  Uh, hobbies? Um, working out. I work out. With wand toys and red dots and stuff.

KATIE:  Waffles, it says here you want to be a rancher. Don't you mean dancer?

WAFFLES:  Uh, yeah. I mean I need to earn money for chicken rancher school so I thought I could moonlight as a Chickendale dancer.

KATIE:  Waffles, this is an audition for CHIPPENDALES, not CHICKENdales.

WAFFLES:  But I was told there would be chicken. That I could dance for chicken and ladies would put money in my–

KATIE:  Waffles, do you have any dancing experience? 

WAFFLES:  You mean with chickens?

KATIE:  (talks softly to other judges)  Well this is disappointing. This cat's got no experience. He doesn't even know what Chippendales is. Chicken? Seriously?

DALE:  Gasp!

CHIP: Yeah, he's been backstage for HOURS practicing. It's pretty embarrassing. Maybe if we give him some treats he'll just go away. 

KATIE:  I don't think so. I've got a history with this one. I think we should go ahead and let him do his audition. Just try to keep a straight face. Ok?

CHIP 'n' DALE:  Got it. 

KATIE:  Ok, Waffles. Show us what you've got.

Everyone's watching, to see what you will do. 

Everyone's looking, at you, ooo-ooo-ooh.

Everyone's wondering, how did you button those cuffs?

Everyone's looking AT ALL THAT FLUFF, all that fluff!

CHIP:  Oh. My. 

DALE:  My EYES! My EYES!

KATIE: *shakes head*

   
About Today's Episode: 
When we heard about Chip and Dale, the adoptable tuxedo brothers from PAWS, we couldn't help but giggle at their clever names. Growing up, Glogirly loved the Chip 'n' Dale cartoons. She still has a thing for chipmunks.

Fast forward to 1990... back when Saturday Night Live was must-see television. In October of that year Chris Farley and Patrick Swayze starred in what Glogirly thinks is the most hilarious comedy sketch EVER. If you've seen it, you know what we're talking about. Today's Cameo Cats

Chip and his brother Dale are barely out of kitten hood at 1 year old. They're a playful and affectionate pair, once they get to know you. These sweet tuxedo brothers were found in a feral colony, but a volunteer lovingly fostered them and taught them the joys of being with people.

Chip 'n' Dale are looking for a forever home where they'll always be together. These handsome boys are available for adoption at PAWS, Pet Animal Welfare Society in Norwalk, Connecticut.

This is one of our favorite Caturday posts from 2015.  We loved it so much we wanted to share it again. Since we originally posted it, Chip 'n' Dale have been adopted. But there are still many wonderful adult cats waiting at PAWS and shelters in your own neighborhoods for their forever homes. If you're ready to add a furry family member into your home, please consider adopting an adult cat.
