WAFFLES: Hey Boss! Did you lock up all your valuables?
KATIE: Waffles, I don't think anyone is going to steal your fetch toy.
WAFFLES: Yeah, but you can never be too safe. Did you see the room service guy? He was eyeing my wand toy, my food dish –
WAFFLES: I better stick it way in the back.
KATIE: Ok, Waffles. You stick it. Way in the back. Farther. A little farther...
KATIE: Here, let me get that door for you.
Day 5 of Katie & Waffles' Grand Hotel Adventure
Glogirly spent the afternoon at the Townhouse checking on progress. She's pleased to report that the cat trees have been reinstalled and are ready for action. *phew!* Just one more day of construction and we'll be moving back home. We sure are going to miss our luxury suite in the city. And we have a feeling we'll be missing our luxury meal service too. The last thing on Glogirly's mind is grocery shopping and cooking. ...ok, truth be told that's nothing new.
While away from home, Katie and Waffles surprisingly seem to coexist in peace far more than they do at home. There've been no mealtime patty cake shuffles, not even a single scuffle. You could say that the stress of a new environment makes them band together, but neither of them are showing any signs of stress at all. In fact, they're so relaxed they act like they've been living here forever. Even Katie's been playing crinkle ball soccer.
We think it has a lot to do with the fact that the whole family is together. It's really a great testament to the old saying, "Home is where the heart is." Or in this case where all four hearts are.
WAFFLES: Home is where the FETCH TOY is.
