On the Road & On the Lookout for Fleas & Ticks with Waffles and #Seresto

Hurry up, every buddy! We're going to the PARK!

I've got everything I need to visit nature today! I've got my Waffle Wagon, I've got my harness, my leash and my treats. I've got Glogirly. And most important (ok maybe not as important as Glogirly) ... I have my purr-tection: My flea and tick collar from the nice people at Seresto.

PURR-TECTION?
Why does such a fiercely handsome mancat need purr-tection? Even though we live in the city, just a few paw-steps from downtown Minneapolis, there's lots and lots of fleas and STICKS living it up in our...  Wait, Huh?  TICK season??? Ok, but there's still some good sticks, right? I was told there would be sticks.

Hangin' in the grass and weeds.
The park I'm at today is called Boom Island. It's a small park just across the Mrs. Hippy river from downtown Minneapolis. Glogirly says that the ticks can lay in the tall weeds & grass all summer long without a meal, just waiting for a handsome mancat like me to come along.

Like a good neighbor.
Glogirly says that some ticks are so close to home, they're practically our NEIGHBORS. Don't worry,  George & Harriet from next door, I don't mean you. But watch out! Even on your patio, you might not be alone.

Hot-n-Sticky.
Glogirly says that anyone who likes hot and sticky summers is crazy. I guess that makes ticks crazy too on account of they love Minnesota in the summer. They don't like dry desserts though– I mean deserts.

Uh, did someone say dessert???

Uh, seriously. I'm pretty sure I heard 'dessert.'

  3. What a wonderful outing, Waffles! We're pretty sure there are probably some great desserts in Minny-sota, too!

  4. Some ticks DO brave the desert. Out here in mostly-dry, desert-y L.A., the cat before me came home with a tick once. On Christmas! My human freaked out and called the Emergency clinic. I think it was the only time she's ever seen a tick. The cat before me didn't even care or notice the thing.

  5. Thankfully I have only ever found 3 ticks on Shiner in her whole life. They aren't in my yard too much, but we did used to see a lot of pets come in with ticks. We definitely have fleas though. And grats guys! I love Air Waffles video!

  23. I have only had one tick, but I get the icky flea and tick stuff on my neck every month. Don't tell anyone will you, that tick was right beside my spot #13. It was very embarrassing but mum said I was very good while she removed it for me.

  24. Congratulations on your nomination. Too bad about the screw up over them.
I love dessert Waffles and the desert! Ticks are bad there too, I don't know why they think they aren't? Does your collar work good? I've been told they only work around the neck area? Does this one work differently?

  26. One of the reasons we don't go outside! We don't have to deal with fleas and ticks.

  28. I guess our Mom is crazy too cause hers said the humidity would help hers asthma/breathe betters.

We lives in the dry desert where there really aren't fleas around....but where the Mom is from in the midwest, there were tons!

We is glad you won't bring any new "friends" home, Waffles!

  29. Ticks are annoying and will eat your food … I mean they’ll eat you. Did the first part remind you of someone? Heh heh.
