...And In Walked The Cat Sitter

Hi everyone, Katie here.

There are some concerning developments here at the Townhouse.  While conducting my daily rounds I've noticed a preponderance of suitcases strewn about.

One could be harmless. Gloman often travels for business. A quick gone today – back tomorrow kind of thing.

Two indicates a potentially longer trip.

But three? four?
FIVE???

This does not bode well for Casa de Glogirly.
This does NOT bode well for me & Waffles.

And if that's not bad enough...
We had a *visitor* tonight.

The doorbell rang, and suddenly Glogirly was showing this INTRUDER all of my most precious, secret places. Where I eat, sleep...they touched my favorite toys...you know the rest.

Waffles Too and I are in for a wild ride. There's no telling where this is going.

  3. Oh crap...multiples? Even when my mom went to Australia...she only took one HUGE suitcase. But only one.

    This is not looking good.

  4. Allie: *GASP!* ALONE? With W2??!? Without *human* interference?

  8. Our mom rarely goes anywhere, but she does do a lot of cat sitting. Hope your mom won't be gone too long.

  13. Multiple suitcases - typist would like to know how glogirl talks glowman into letting her take mutliple suitcases as she is only ever allowed one!!

I think she may have missed the point of your story this time - pfft!

  14. That is a LOT of suitcases! Of course at least one of them, I imagine, is for Gloman's camera stuff... kind of like the guitar cases my human's boyfriend travels with in addition to his suitcases.

Honestly? I like my pet sitter more than I like my human. When she goes away, she is not missed much.

  16. Multiple suitcases? Maybe there's room in one of those for you to go along, Katie!

  17. Oh, Katie, this IS dire. The time has come for all good kittehs to come to the aid of their Condo, and now is the time for you two to forget past grievances (e.g. touching and nomming out of food bowls), and come together as a TEAM to fight this indignity. What with W2 growing to monstrous proportions, this shouldn't be too hard, but together, you will be a force to be reckoned with. Get the Smacky Paws of Doom ready and maybe the Introoder will be too scared to even enter your Beloved Home Land. Good Lucks.

  30. YIKES - Horrible news. Why would they go off and leave you two sweeties in the hands of a pet sitter! Who knows what she'll do. But then, on the other hand, maybe you can out smart her and get whatever you want whenever you want it. Start thinking friends. I'll help you come up with a plan.,

  31. You better make sure you keep that cat sitter in line Katie. Make sure they play a lot with you and Waffles.

  35. I've heard tell of people like cat sitters. They're just slightly above substitute teachers and should be treated the same. Show no mercy. I know W2 is going to be of no help since he'll be climbing all over her for attention. He might even rat on you a few times. He should be whacked. Well, not that whacked altho I know it appeals to you. More like whapped. Blogpaws isn't for another month, so I don't know where they could be going. They're not visiting me is all I know.

  36. Now you've both sat through films where the kids were left home alone or with a nanny so you should have picked up some good tips to keep them on their toes. So long as the sitter didn't look like nanny McPhee then you should be safe enough. You could go down the whole paranormal scary cat spooks the sitter route but dont scare them off totally as someone needs to sort the meals out and scoop the poop. Just enjoy the break, sitters usually love spoiling their new friends then when Glogirl and Gloman get back you can mess with their heads by guilt tripping them.

  37. Hmmm wonder where they are going? Maybe you could pack Waffles Too in one of those suitcases. Then at least you could have a vacation from him ;)

  38. This doesn't look good, guys. You two have got to band together, as hard as that might be, and put a stop to it...now!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Hmm. Sounds pretty suspect to me, Katie! Where are they going with THAT many suitcases? Can you fit in one??

  43. Oh my, have you never met this person who is going to take care of you? That sounds really scary to us. And five suitcases sounds like a very long trip indeed. The longest we've been left was 18 days. Our kitty caregiver came twice a day to feed, scoop and play. But we knew her! Good luck!
